March

In the second week of March, our demolishing contractor came to remove all the carpets from the former classrooms.

On the roof of the former classrooms, there were some asbestos areas, and the contractor removed them in a careful way.

In the third week of March, our demolition contractor started to remove the walls of the former classrooms.

In the last week of March, the walls of the large classroom were removed.

In the same week, the contractor started to remove the walls of the small classroom, which had served as the storage location for ministry books as well as the Bibles for Europe (BfE) UK distribution centre.

April

By the beginning of April, all the former classrooms have been demolished.

In the following weeks, we were preparing the site for the retaining wall piling mat.

May

In May, the new electrical transformer with a kiosk had been installed.

From the middle of May to the middle of June, brothers were building the new electrical room for the power supply to the whole Bower House estate.

The new electrical room is next to the kiosk.

June

In the middle of June, we had the specialist piling contractors team come over to build guide walls for the retaining wall piles, the guide wall ensures that each pile is accurately positioned.

After one week, another piling contractor team came to install the contiguous piles. These piles are made of reinforced concrete and are designed to provide lateral support and stability for structures.

July

In July, our brothers were working on installing the capping beams with rebars next to the guide walls and contiguous piles.

Capping beams join pile foundations together to increase their rigidity and reduce movement.

August

In August, the first capping beam pour has been carried out. There were two saints coming from the United States to help for two weeks.

In the middle of August, our brothers were continuing to work on the capping beams, and the second concrete pour took place.

On the last day of August, we started mass excavation after completing the third concrete pour for capping beams.

Brothers were removing large quantities of earth from the construction site to Bower Farm to create a level surface and the desired depth for the further foundation work.

After mass excavation, the retaining wall piles installed in June could now be seen

At the end of September, brothers were putting the white filter fabric on the surface of the soil and preparing the crushed concrete work platform.
